THE ROLE: The Director Financial Services (DFS) will be responsible for delivering financial transactional and administrative services across Procure to Pay (P2P), Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Treasury/Tax, and Member Compensation Payments (MCA) to regional customers of Herbalife Nutrition. The DFS will serve as a key operational manager of the regional financial transactional services within the Global Business Services (GBS) organization and will be responsible for all regional financial transactional and administrative service delivery to the customers of GBS, with the overall goal of helping Herbalife Nutrition provide five stars customer service to its Distributors and Preferred Members while providing leadership, operational expertise, and motivation across a financial GBS Regional team that is focused on operational efficiency, scalability, quality, controls, risk mitigation and continuous process improvement.
In addition, the DFS will be directly responsible for recruitment, development, and leadership of regional business services financial transactional delivery teams. These teams will be responsible for the output, quality and efficiency of all financial transactional services provided by the global business services center to key internal and external customers (including Customers, Suppliers, Employees, Senior Management, Regulatory Bodies, etc.). The DFS will provide support and expertise to the Service Management Team to enable a comprehensive Service Management Framework (SMF), which includes among other components the development, implementation, and maintenance of Service Partnership Agreements (SPAs) with internal customers & partners. The DFS will also participate in the development, deployment and operational reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics across all financial transactional services. These metrics and KPIs will assist in the identification of underlying trends that enable continuous process improvement efforts. As part of ongoing reviews and monitoring of controls, the DFS will need to ensure that all systems, processes, and controls are operating properly to support optimization, effectiveness, efficiency and security of financial transactional services for Herbalife.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: (Responsibilities and tasks associated with the job)
• Responsible for the output, timeliness and quality of all financial transactional services which include Procure to Pay (P2P), Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Treasury/Tax, and Member Compensation Payments (MCA) provided by the regional Global Business Services Center to key internal and external customers (including customers, suppliers, employees, senior management, regulatory bodies, etc.)
• Liaise with the regional customer facing functions regarding performance levels and future service delivery opportunities
• Ensure that all financial transactional processes meet each function’s business needs in a user-friendly manner, with global standardization and automation as appropriate
• Responsible for daily operations and service provisioning for the financial transactional services team within the Regional Global Business Services Center
• Manage the timely rollout of all financial technology solutions or enhancements
• Manage performance through metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) which have been agreed to with the Global Process Owner(s) covering all financial transactional processes end-to-end and linking all performance trends to continuous process improvement goals
• Ensure that the financial records and systems comply with US GAAP and where applicable, local and international accounting and regulatory standards for SEC, DOJ, FDA, etc.
• Ensure that Herbalife’s policies are adhered to (e.g., approvals, financial guidelines, etc.) and all appropriate controls are functioning as designed
• Maintain the relevance, accuracy and completeness of global end-to-end, standard processes and supporting documentation
• Facilitate promotion of financial transactional global process standards with transparent, approved local variances where necessary for regulatory or business operational reasons
• Lead the development, execution, and monitoring of all action plans to ensure financial targets are achieved or exceeded
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive understanding, commitment, and support for financial transactional services within Global Business Services
• Serves as the regional contact and advocate for financial transactional services in GBS for Herbalife
• Manage and instill an environment focused on continuous process improvement and customer service excellence
• Manage strategies focused on the enhancement of the GBS organizational capacity through technology and innovation to facilitate the continuous improvement of services
• Drive end-to-end standard processes across Herbalife
• Provide strong operational leadership and motivation to the Regional Global Business Services Financial Transactional Services team, being a role model for Herbalife values
• Lead, develop and coach direct reports and their teams to enable each to maximize their optimal individual and team performance
• Ensure succession plans are in place for key Global Business Financial Transactional Service Center roles via a Talent Management Review Process
• Provide opportunities for team members to help them grow and develop their potential for future roles

The Global Business Services (GBS) center in Guadalajara supports multiple departments in a multinational environment. As the Director of Finance Services, you will play a crucial role in developing long-term strategies for the Finance organization in Mexico and establishing an efficient structure for the global team. You will be pivotal in building and maintaining trust and confidence among our internal customers regarding the quality of GBS delivery and the excellence of our service. You will collaborate with our functional partners and other GBS Finance Services Directors to develop long-term efficiency plans and scale our GBS model. Your regional role will extend to global matrix responsibilities within the global finance organization.

• 6-8 direct reports (Senior Managers and Managers), 150+ downlines
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: (List requirements, including education and experience needed for the job)
• Minimum ten or more years related experience in Finance or Controllership functions at medium/large companies with international operational experience in leading a multi-country service delivery operation
• Experience providing critical input to the Controllership organization and/or other members of senior management regarding the financial performance of the Company, including recommendations for action.
• Experience in managing global financial transactional business services or shared services, process improvement and management of operational services delivery in Finance
• Operational understanding of Financial Systems, architectures, and other enabling technologies
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, segregation of duties and compliance best practices
• Comfortable managing operational decisions as well as driving strategic direction of the Financial Transactional Business Services team
• Demonstrated experience in daily service delivery operations
• Strong Customer Service Focus, to both internal & external customers
• Demonstrated experience in operational management of global financial transactional service delivery coupled with focused results driven leadership to large, global cross functional teams
• Management presence with strong relationships at both the Corporate Controllership and regional level within Herbalife and ability to work across all management levels within the company
• Embraces and drives change; stays abreast of best practices in financial transactional global business services and aspires to leverage new technologies as appropriate
• Strategic in nature; drives performance, efficiency, and effectiveness; highly organized with attention to detail
• Confident, proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, goal and results oriented, with experience in managing large organizations
Education
• B.A. in Business Administration/Finance required (MBA a plus)
• Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant designation
