POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:  

The Cloud Engineer II (security) will drive cloud security practices in IaaS / PaaS and SaaS cloud infrastructure. Provide input and feedback on cloud/hybrid architectures related to security. Supports and conducts security assessments together with Cyber Security team to identify areas of risk and ensure any gaps are remediated. The cloud engineer will be responsible to analyze, maintain and review existing cloud structures and create, design or recommend enhanced security methods.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:  

Level I
•   Serve as primary point of contact in cloud platform security areas
•   Supports cloud migrations efforts on security level
•   Works closely with Cyber Security team to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across all clouds.
•   Maintain and supports security tooling infrastructure and agents in the cloud
•   Provided technical support on web and content traffic security with tools like Akamai WAF/CDN 
•   Participate in incident response with Cyber Security team to investigate and remediate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
•   Ability to resolve cloud related tickets and requests 
•   Provides technical documentation

Level II 
•   In addition to L1 activities:
•   Prepares and reviews cloud governance and security protocols
•   Recommends solutions or enhancements to improve overall enterprise security
•   2nd level support and analytical skills for hybrid cloud environments
•   Assist the Cyber Security and Compliance team for external and internal cloud audits
•   Designs and implements security controls on private and public cloud platforms
•   Designs cloud governance and security processes that aligns with the global GTS policies

Skills Required:
•   Strong communication skills
•   Deep and broad general IT knowledge and hands-on experience in different areas such as networking, infrastructure, security, solutions architecture, and design etc. 
•   Strong security fundamentals on cloud security infrastructure and architecture

•   Strong communication skills in English.

•   Experience working with Azure and GCP

•   Strong programming skills and fluency with scripting languages (Terraform, Python, and Shell)

•   Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code), Terraform
•   Strong knowledge and proven experience in setting up, securing, and managing cloud infrastructure 
•   Demonstrated knowledge of cloud provisioning and administration, cloud disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, as well as performance measurement and monitoring in the cloud
•   Experience with cloud web and content security design and architectures  
•   Experience with Enterprise-level Vulnerability/Pen-Test solutions
•   Solid understanding and proven practical experience with policies design

Certificates / Training:

•   Preferred: Azure, GCP and/or other Cloud Certifications
•   Preferred: Akamai WAF (Web Application Firewall) and CDN (Content Delivery Network)
•   ADC (Application Delivery Controller) related solutions

Experience: Level II
•   2+ years of cloud engineering experience or equivalent (GCP and Azure) Essential
•   5+ years of experience in IT, Engineering

Education Required:
•   Bachelor's in Information Technology or related field
